Love was not enough,
My love was not enough,
It needed two,
and I was alone,

and even though my love doubled hers,
it was not enough.
Will she find love?
Never like mine,
but perhaps love is not enough,
not for her,
cold, and callous, devoid of emotion,
My love was not enough,
Will anyone pierce that cold heart?
I so tried and tried gain,
Too full of pride and ego,
Lessons not learnt, heart of ice,
My love was not enough,
I hope, dream and pray,
One day love will overcome her,
even if not for me,
Just to find love,
to experience what I felt,
and pray they don't break her heart as she broke mine.
